We propose various visits to discover the town and the region with professional, local tourist guides. We also welcome and accompany all students who come for several months to town (see your page).
Perhaps you have only an hour free to discover the town, or perhaps you have one or two days…. Perhaps you are interested in gothic or in flowers and plants, perhaps you like litterature or archeaologie....
We have a large programme of visits for all tastes:
The cathedral, of course, the best example of French gothic architecture, but also modern architecture - for example the Perret Tower -, archaeology in St. Acheul, nature in the Hortillonnages … and the great man: Jules Verne who lived in Amiens for 35 years.
Not to forget the lovely landscape nearby: the Somme valley with its lakes and the see-side with the wide bay of the Somme, one of the most beautiful of the world.
You will discover soft landscapes, wide fields, villages, churches, abbeys and castles hidden in a frame of green - a very reposing experience.
We also follow the traces of Charlemagne and Joan of Arc who came here, and those of the Red Baron, one of the heroes of the Great War, a tragic page of our recent history.
